Vegetables - Sauerkraut Pork Casserole

1 (16 oz.) Can Sauerkraut -- Drained
4 Slices Boneless Pork Sirloin -- About 1 Pound
1 Tsp. Garlic Powder
3/4 Cup Barbecue Sauce


Heat oven to 350.

Spread sauerkraut evenly in bottom of ungreased rectangular baking dish, 11 x 7 x 1 1/2 inches.

Place pork in a skillet and brown both side quickly. Place pork on kraut; sprinkle with garlic powder. Spread barbecue sauce over pork.

Cover and bake about one hour or until pork is no longer pink.

1 large can saurkraut, drained 1 Cup chopped celery, chopped 1 Cup mixed green and red peppers, choped but not fine 1 medium onion ,chopped 1 1/4 Cups sugar, more or less 1/4 Cup oil 1/4 Cup vinegar Mix the sugar , oil and vinegar together and pour over the remaining ingredients. It is best if it is refrigerated overnight.

1 pint-size jar sauerkraut 1 pint-size jar stewed tomatoes 1 cup sugar 1/2 pound bacon (fried, drained and broken up) Mix ingredients together and pour into a greased baking dish. Bake slowly in a 250 degee oven for 2-3 hours. Super easy and good--cooks down to a bbq flavor!
