Vegetables - Creamed Spinach With Artichokes

1 stick butter
1 (14 oz.)can artichoke bottoms, drained


Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.Thaw and drain spinach.

Melt cream cheese and butter together. Add to spinach.

Place artichoke bottoms in bottom of casserole; add spinach mixture. Bake for 30 minutes.

It will serve four.

1 pkg. fresh spinach - about 4 cups 2 slices bacon 1 onion sliced 2 tbsp. flour 1/2 tsp. salt Pepper 1 clove garlic, minced 1 cup milk, - or 1/2 sour cream and 1/2 milk Cook the spinach. Drain well. Saute the bacon and onion until bacon is crisp, and onion is tender. Remove the pan from heat and stir in flour, salt, pepper and garlic, blend well. Add the milk and cook, stirring until sauce thickens. Stir in spinach and serve hot.

4 lbs. spinach 1 qt. cream salt ground white pepper nutmeg Wash spinach well, and cook in a little water for about 10 minutes. Drain very well and process it. Put in a pot and cover with the cream, salt and nutmeg, and cook until thick, stirring with a wooden spoon. Serve in individual moulds with hard boiled egg slices.
