Vegetables - Carrots - Deviled Carrots

8 carrots
4 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tsp. dry mustard
Few drops Tabasco
Salt and pepper


Slice the carrots, not too thin; melt the butter; and saute' the carrots for 5 minutes over medium heat. Add the brown sugar, mustard, Tabasco, salt and pepper, cover and cook another 10 minutes.

1 1/2 cups boiling water 1 (3 oz.) pkg. lemon Jello® 2/3 cup cream cheese 24 marshmallows 1/2 cup pineapple juice 3/4 cup crushed or chunk pineapple 3/4 cup grated carrot Dissolve Jello in boiling water. Blend in cheese. Melt marshmallows in pineapple juice over low heat. Stir constantly until smooth. Add to Jello. Allow to cool. Combine remaining ingredients with Jello and refrigerate to set. May also be made using orange Jello and instead of using carrots, add a can of mandarin oranges.
