Poultry - Chicken - Baked Chicken That Makes It's Own Gravy

3 1/2 lb. chicken
1/4 c. flour
1/4 c. butter, melted
2/3 c. Carnation evaporated milk
10 1/2 oz. can cream of mushroom soup
1 c. American cheese, grated
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 c. whole pearl onions, drained
1/2 c. mushrooms, sliced
paprika


Coat chicken with flour. Arrange in single layer with skins down in melted butter in 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish. Bake uncovered in moderately hot oven (425 degrees) for 30 minutes. Turn chicken. Bake until brown, 15 to 20 minutes or until tender. Remove from oven.

Reduce temperature to 325 degrees. Pour off excess fat. Add onions and mushrooms to chicken. Combine
milk, soup, cheese, salt and pepper. Pour over chicken. Sprinkle with paprika. Cover with foil. Return to oven; continue baking 15 to 20 minutes longer.

1 large can crescent rolls 2 c. cooked, chopped chicken 8 oz. cream cheese, softened 1 Tbs. minced pimento 2 Tbs. minced onion salt and pepper to taste crushed seasoned croutons, to coatPreheat oven to 350° F.Mix all together except crescent rolls. Make 4 rectangles from crescent rolls and place 1/4 chicken mixture oneach rectangle. Fold over and seal around edges. Brush with butter and roll in crushed seasoned croutons. Bake 45 min. at 350.
