Pasta And Pastasauces - Beef - Spaghetti Pie

6 ounces spaghetti
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 well-beaten eggs
1 lb. ground beef or bulk sausage
1/2 cup chopped onions
1/4 cup chopped green pepper
1 (8-oz.) can (1 cup) tomatoes, cut up
1 (6-oz.) can tomato paste
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon dried oregano, crushed
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1 cup (8 ounces) cottage cheese
1/2 cup (2 ounces) shredded mozzarella cheese

On top of range, cook spaghetti according to package directions; drain. Stir butter into hot spaghetti. Stir in Parmesan cheese and eggs. Form spaghetti mixture into a "crust" in a 10-inch pie plate, pulling up the sides-will look like a bird's nest. Cook on High, uncovered, for 2 minutes.

In 1-1/2 quart bowl crumble ground beef or sausage. Add onion and green pepper. Cook, uncovered, at High 5 minutes, stirring 3 times to break up meat. Drain off excess. Stir in undrained tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar, oregano, and garlic salt. Cook, covered, at High till sauce is bubbly 3 to 3-1/2 minutes, stirring once.

Spread cottage cheese over bottom of spaghetti "crust" (or extra mozzarella if not using cottage cheese). Fill "pie" with tomato mixture. Cook, covered, at High till heated through 6 to 7 minutes giving dish half turn after 3 minutes. Top with the mozzarella cheese. Cook at High till cheese is melted, 1 minute or more. Let stand 8 to 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with snipped parsley, if desired. Makes 6 servings.

8 ounces spaghetti, cooked, drained 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese 1 egg, slightly beaten 1 pound ground beef, cooked, drained 2 cups spaghetti sauce 1 (8 ounce) package shredded mozzarella cheese Toss cooked spaghetti, Parmesan cheese and egg. Place in a 9-inch pie pan. Press along bottom and sides to form crust. Mix cooked meat and spaghetti sauce. Spread meat mixture over spaghetti crust. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 30 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting into wedges. To serve: Spoon additional heated spaghetti sauce on a serving plate. Top with
