Fruit - Strawberry Butter

Yield: 8 servings

1 Stick butter
2 1/2 c Sifted powdered sugar
2 c Fresh strawberries
1/2 c Finely ground blanched almonds


In a bowl, cream butter and sugar. Blender puree strawberries. Combine butter mixture and strawberries; beat until smooth. Stir in almonds. Chill until firm. Serve with pancakes

1 (8 oz) loaf baguette-style French bread 1 (8 oz) tub cream cheese 1 tbsp honey 2 cups strawberries, sliced 1/4 c. strawberry jelly Heat oven to 375*. Cut bread into 24 slice about 1/4 inch thick. Place in a single layer on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake about 10 minutes ot till lightly brown, turning once. Stir together cream cheese and honey; spread on one side of each bread slice. Arrange strawberry slices on the cheese. Heat jelly in a custard cup in microwave for about 30 seconds; stir. Brush jelly over strawberries. Makes 24 servings. To make ahead: Toast
