3/4 Stick Butter or Margarine
3/4 cup white sugar
1 cup flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
3/4 cup milk
5 large peaches (Put the peaches in boiling water for 45 seconds and then put them in ice water for a few seconds. The peels almost fall off.
additional 3/4 cup white sugar to spread over peaches in dish.

Melt butter in 9x9 casserole dish or pan.

In a bowl mix together 3/4 cup sugar, the flour, baking powder and milk. Pour over butter, but don't stir. Then slice the peaches over the batter in the casserole dish. Layer peaches and then remaining 3/4 cup sugar over this. Do Not Stir. Bake for 35 minutes at 350 degrees.

1 quart strawberries, stem 3 cups flour 1 cup self rising flour 1 cup shortening 1 teaspoon salt 15 medium ripe peaches 2 cups sugar 1 stick butter, cut into small pieces 1 cup buttermilk Combine flour, Crisco and salt in a large mixing bowl.
