1 Box Devil's Food Cake Mix -- Baked
1/3 Cup Kahlua
2 (3 Oz) Boxes Instant Chocolate Pudding -- Use Only 3 Cups Milk
16 Oz Cool Whip
8 Small Heath Bars -- frozen & chopped finely

Prepare cake mix as directed and bake in a 9x13 pan. Cool and cut into large chunks.

Prepare pudding, using only 3 cups of milk instead of 4. Blend Kahlua into pudding mix.

In a deep, clear glass trifle bowl, layer 1/2 cake, 1/2 pudding, 1/2 Cool Whip, 1/2 Heath Bars. Repeat.

1/2 cup sugar 3 tablespoons cornstarch 1/8 teaspoon salt 2 cups half and half 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract Pumpkin Bread (see recipe) or one 1 1/2-pound loaf of gingerbread, sliced 1/4 inch thick Candied Pumpkin (see recipe) Softly whipped cream 2 tablespoons finely chopped candied ginger, for garnish Mint, for garnish In a bowl, whisk together the sugar, cornstarch and salt. Whisk in 1/3 cup of the half-and-half. In a heavy medium saucepan, combine the remaining 1 2/3 cups of half-and-half with the sugar mixture and the cinnamon. 1 box fudge brownie mix 1 large box instant chocolate pudding 1 pkg. milk chocolate toffee bits 1 (12 oz.) tub whipped topping Bake brownie according to pkg. directions in 13x9 pan. Cool. Divide in half, and crumble in pieces. Make pudding according to directions. In a large bowl or trifle dish layer half the brownies, half the pudding, half the toffee bits, and half the topping. Repeat with remaining half. Chill 6-8 hours. Serves 16 Recipe by Marguerite Cartwright in Pennsylvania
