Desserts - Blueberry Trifle

3 pints blueberries
yellow cake, sliced in 5 layers (can use cake scraps)
blueberry jam or sauce
whipped cream


In a trifle bowl, layer yellow cake, smear with thin layer of jam, cover with blueberries. Repeat until almost top. Add whipped cream for topping.

1 box fudge brownie mix 1 large box instant chocolate pudding 1 pkg. milk chocolate toffee bits 1 (12 oz.) tub whipped topping Bake brownie according to pkg. directions in 13x9 pan. Cool. Divide in half, and crumble in pieces. Make pudding according to directions. In a large bowl or trifle dish layer half the brownies, half the pudding, half the toffee bits, and half the topping. Custard (recipe follows) 1 chocolate cake (recipe follows, makes a dense cake) 1/3 cup chocolate liqueur, kirsch, or cherry liqueur 4 cup drained canned cherries, drained frozen cherries or cherry pie filling 1 cup whipping creme 2 tbsp icing sugar 1 tsp vanilla Custard: 3 cups milk 5 egg yolks 1/2 cup white sugar 1/4 cup corn starch 1 tsp vanilla In a sauce pan, heat milk until bubbles form around edges. In a heavy bottom sauce pan, beat yolks with sugar and cornstarch until smooth. Gradually whisk in milk. Cook over medium, stir constantly for 3 to 5 minutes
