Dairy - Ice Cream - Charlie's Favorite

5 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
1 Tbl. vanilla extract
1/2 gal. homoginized milk (or fill to brime of ice cream freezer)


Beat eggs well until lemon colored. Add sugar until sugar is well mixed with eggs. Add next three ingredients and mix. Pour into ice cream freezer. (Follow directions of your particular brand of freezer.)

1 (10 oz.) pkg candied orange slices 2 (8 oz) cans crushed pineapple in juice 2/3 c. light corn syrup 1 c. whipping cream 1 1/2 c. half and half Cut candy orange slices into 1/4 inch cubes, making about 1 1/3 c. In saucepan combine them with pineapples with juice and syrup. Heat and stir til nearly melted, about 2 minutes.Pour into large bowl, allowing to cool to room temperature. Stir in creams, and pour into ice cream cannister. Mix as per machine directions. Makes 2 quarts.
