Crock_pot - Vegetable - Fresh Green Beans In Crockpot

2 lb. fresh green beans, washed and cut
4 cups water
1 tsp. salt
1/2 lb. ham or bacon pieces


Put all ingredients in crockpot, cover and cook on low 10 to 12 hours (high 3-1/2 to 5 hours). Stir occasionally.

2 lb. sweet potatoes 2 Tblsp. cornstarch 2/3 cup orange juice 2 Tblsp. lemon juice 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/3 cup chopped pecans, toasted Peel and slice potatoes into 1/2-inch slices. Place in slow cooker that has been sprayed with non-stick vegetable spray coating. Dissolve cornstarch in orange and lemon juices. Add remaining ingredients to cornstarch mixture. Pour over sweet potatoes. Cover and cook on low 7 to 9 hours. Makes 8 to 10 servings.

2 lb Potatoes (about 6 medium) 1/4 t. Pepper 3 T Butter 1 ea Small onion, thinly sliced 1 can Cream of mushroom soup- (10 oz.) 1/4 c Flour 1 t. Salt 4 slices American cheese Peel and thinly slice potatoes. Toss slices in 1 cup water and 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar. Drain. Put half of sliced potatoes in greased crockpot. Top with half of onion slices, flour, salt and pepper. Add remaining sliced potatoes and onions. Sprinkle with remaining flour. Add butter and undiluted soup. Cover and cook on Low 7 to 9 hours. (High: 3 to 4 hours).
