Cookies - Eat Your Heart Out Cookies

Butter or margarine
1 cup semisweet chocolate pieces
1/4 cup light corn syrup
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
3 cups crisp rice cereal
frosting, if you like

Line a cookie sheet with waxed paper. Grease the waxed paper with butter or margarine.

Melt the chocolate pieces with the corn syrup and butter in the microwave, uncovered, on 100% power for 1 minute or until chocolate and butter are melted, stirring once.

Add the cereal to the melted chocolate mixture. Stir with wooden spoon until the cereal is evenlycoated with chocolate.

Turn the mixture out onto the prepared cookie sheet. Pat it into a 12x6" rectangle. Chill about 20 minutes or slightly firm. Cut cereal mixture into heart shapes with cookie cutter. Decorate with frosting, if you like.

1 pkg. (3 oz.) fruit flavored gelatin (whatever flavor you like) 2 Tblsp. butter 1/3 cup light corn syrup 4 cups Cheerios cereal Butter a 9-inch square pan. In large saucepan blend gelatin (dry mix), corn syrup and butter. Heat to boiling over medium heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; stir in Cheerios until well coated. Pour into buttered pan and press down with back of a buttered spoon. Cool in refrigerator 30 minutes, then cut into squares.

2 cup white sugar 1/2 cup butter 1/2 cup milk 3 cup oatmeal 1 1/2 cup coconut 6 tbsp cocoa 1 tsp vanilla, salt In a pot large enough to hold the whole recipe, mix sugar, butter and milk over medium heat. Cook until butter is melted and the sugar is totally dissolved. Stirring occasionally. Add the other ingredients, blending thoroughly. Using a tablespoon drop on greased aluminum foil, allow to chill.
