Cakesandfrostings - Frosting Olde Time Chocolate Icing

2 cups sugar
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1 stick butter
6 tablespoons cocoa
1 teaspoon vanilla


Combine sugar and cocoa in heavy skillet and stir together until all of the chocolate lumps are gone. Add milk and butter, place skillet over medium and stirring constantly, heat to boiling and let boil 1 minute, remove from heat and add vanilla. Set aside to cool and thicken slightly.
