Appetizers - Cheese - Party Cheese Bake

1 cup Butter
1/2 tsp. Curry Powder
Saltine Crackers (for 4 cups crushed)
2 cups Sweet Onion
Dash or two of Salt
1 1/2 cups grated Cheddar Cheese
3 cups Milk
3 Eggs
1 tsp. Salt
Dash Red Pepper
Parmesan Cheese

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Melt butter; stir in curry powder. Crush saltines, and toss with curried butter to coat evenly. Reserving 1 cup of the crumb mixture, spread the rest over the bottom of an 11-inch by 16-inch pan.

Chop the onion in a medium dice and toss with a little salt. Add to pan, making an even layer
over the crumbs. Cover that with a layer of cheddar.

Scald milk. Lightly beat eggs with salt and pepper. Stir in a little of the hot milk, then combine with the rest of the milk and pour all the liquid over the layers in the pan.

Sprinkle the reserved cracker crumbs over all, top with a light layer of Parmesan, and finish with a dusting of paprika.

Bake at 375 F degrees for 25 minutes. When done, cut into squares and serve warm with parsley garnish.

This makes tasty little quiche-like squares. Makes 40 (2-inch) squares

You can bake them ahead, and reheat to serve. But do try to serve them warm.

1 pound margarine (do not use butter) 1 pound New York sharp cheddar cheese, grated 4 cups flour Salt to taste Cayenne to taste Pecan halves Cream margarine. Add grated cheese and blend well. Add flour, salt and cayenne. Roll into 1-inch balls. Press pecan half on top of each. Refrigerate overnight before baking. Bake at 250 degrees approximately 60 minutes or until light brown and crisp. 1 pkg. white tortilla's (soft) Filling:2 (8 oz) pkgs. cream cheese 1/2 c. sweet red pepper-chopped 1/2 c. green bell pepper-chopped 2- 4 green onions-chopped 2T. bacon bits 1-2 t. seasoned salt (to taste) 1c. sour cream 1 (2 1/2 oz) can sliced or diced ripe olives, or to tasteshredded mild, sharp, or hot pepper cheese as desiredMix first 7 ingredients together (cream cheese through sour cream).Place one tortilla in bottom of round glass pie pan.Divide filling mixture into as many portions as you have tortillas. Spread first tortilla in pan thinly with filling. Repeat layering, ending with filling mixture on
