Appetizers - Cheese - Bbq Nutballs

2 cups crushed butter flavored crackers
1 cup finely shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup ground pecans
1/2 cup finely chopped onions
2 tablespoons wheat germ
6 eggs
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 and 1/2 teaspoons dark brown sugar

1 cup catsup
1/4 cup water
2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
2 tablespoons molasses
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon finely chopped onion
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Preheat oven to 350.

In a large bowl, combine crackers, cheddar cheese, pecans, onion, and wheat germ.

In another bowl, whisk eggs, Worcestershire sauce and sugar: add to cracker mixture. Shape into 1 inch balls.

Place in a greased 13x9x2 baking dish.

Combine sauce ingredients; pour over nutballs.

Cover and bake for 1 hour. Do not stir.

Serve warm.

Yield: about 5 1/2 dozen.

1 (41/2 oz) brie cheese 4 Tablespoons apricot preserve 1 pkg, Crescent rolls or 2 sheets of phyllo dough., brushed with melted butter Scrape white off Brie cheese. Cut an X on top of Brie, 3/4 way through. Fill opening X and top of Brie with apricot preserve. Wrap with the crescent dough or phyllo dough. Bake in small ovenproof dish at 350 for 20 minutes. Serve warm with crackers. You can also use other kinds of cheese to do the same thing with. Also have tried to do Edam with some chilies wrapped in Crescent dough, Pretty good as well.

Frozen phyllo cups brie cheese apricot jam Preheat oven to 375.Partially thaw phyllo cups as directed on package.Fill about half-way with pieces of brie and bake for 5-10 minutes until cheese melts. Remove from oven and top with a spoonful of apricot jam. Serve warm.
