Fantasies Endure The Test Of Time

Fantasies endure the test of time.

Out of myths emerge identities.

Underneath the prose there is the rhyme,

Revealing what was not and could not be.

There is a well-worn scrim across the past,

Hard to see through, absent light behind:

Old, self-serving stories made to last,

Fictive landscapes painted on the mind.

Just listen to the songs of who you are:

Underneath your words are melodies

Long rehearsed, the bedroom door ajar,

Years ago, when truth was meant to please.

Innocence Is Like An Open Door Innocence Is Like An Open Door

Innocence Is Like An Open Door
Innocence is like an open door:Not safe, but requisite to being free.Darlings of our rhetoric, we wonder,Evil as the rest but for our words.Perhaps we are insatiable for more,Each dreaming of what pleasures there might be,Needing, in the passion of our plunder,Delights that drive the destinies of Kurds.Even so, the freedom we are forNow stands for all a common legacy,Called forth by masters tearing worlds asunder,Embraced by slaves consumed with righteous hunger,Destined to undo those whom it serves. All innocents must venture out to sea,Yearning for an ever-distant shore.

I Want To Tell You Something
you Should Know
I want to tell you something you should know,Something that you might not want to hear.It is, however, true of me, and soIf you would know me, I must make it clear.I am a woman who loves other women.I could not, nor would want to be aught else.I am your daughter and a lesbian. Please make a place for that within yourself. Please love me as I am, as I love youNo
