Vegetables - Speedy Scalloped Potatoes

1 1/2 cups milk
1 medium onion -- quartered
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
salt and pepper -- to taste
4 medium potatoes -- peeled and cubed
2 tablespoons butter
1/8 pound Cheddar cheese -- grated


Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Put milk, onion, flour, salt and pepper in blender container and blend a few seconds. Peel and cube potatoes and place in a buttered baking dish. Pour milk mixture over potatoes at once. Dot with butter all over. Sprinkle with grated cheese.

Bake uncovered, at 350 F. for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
