3 or 4 medium potatoes
1 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Sugar
1/2 tsp. Paprika
1/4 tsp. Dry mustard
1/8 tsp. Garlic powder

Cut potatoes lengthwise into eighths. Set oven controls to broil.

Place potatoes, cut side down, in ungreased cookie sheet. Brush with oil. Mix remaining ingredients: sprinkle potatoes with half of the mixture.

Broil potatoes with tops about 3 inches from heat until potatoes begin to bubble slightly, about 10 minutes. Turn potatoes over and brush with oil and sprinkle with remaining mixture. Broil until golden brown and tender, about 5 minutes.
