Vegetables - Green Beans - Green Bean Casserole By Mona M

2 (10 ounce) packages frozen French-style green beans
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon freshly grated onion or 1 teaspoon onion flakes
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 cup crushed cornflakes
1 tablespoon butter, melted


Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cook and drain green beans.

In a large saucepan, combine one tablespoon butter, flour, salt, pepper, sugar, onion, sour cream, and cheese. Stir and cook over low heat until ingredients are well combined and cheese is melted. Add beans, mixing well. Pour into a buttered two-quart casserole. Combine cornflakes with one tablespoon melted butter and sprinkle over bean mixture. Bake uncovered for 25 minutes.

3 (15.5 oz.) cans, or 3 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen, or 3 to 4 cups steamed fresh string beans 2 medium onions chopped 1 cup grated cheese 4 strips of bacon, fried crisp and crumbled 4 teaspoons bean juice 1 (10-3/4 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup 1 teaspoon caraway seed Ritz crackers, crumbled or croutonsButterPreheat oven to 350.Mix all ingredients together and place in a casserole dish.Sprinkle crumbled Ritz crackers or croutons on top and dot with butter. Bake until bubbly (about 20 minutes.)

1 small onion, minced 3/4 cup fresh mushrooms 2 (15 to 16 ounce) cans French Style Green beans 1 can Cream of Mushroom soup 1/2 cup Bread Crumbs 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar Cheese (preferrably sharp) 2 Tbsp Soy Sauce 1 Tsp Ginger 1 Tsp Black Pepper 1 Tsp Garlic Powder Topping: 1/4 Bread Crumbs 1/4 cup Shredded Cheese Sautee minced onion and mushrooms until tender. Combine with all other casserole ingredients. (Can be mixed in baking dish, if desired). Sprinkle remaining bread crumbs and shredded cheese over top. Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Remove foil
