Southwestern - Appetizer - Cheesy Chili Dip

1 lb. lean ground beef
1 cup chopped onions
1 can chili without beans
1 can Rotel -- undrained
1 lb. Velveeta -- in cubes
2 pkgs. cream cheese -- (8-oz.) softened
Salt -- pepper to taste
2 tablespoons chili powder


Brown the beef and onions in skillet. Drain grease. Add chili and seasonings. Stir in Velveeta and cream cheese till smooth and well blended. Serve in chafing dish with tortilla chips.

2 (11 oz.) pkgs. Stouffers creamed chipped beef, defrosted 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened 1/2 cup and 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese 1 (4 oz.) can chopped green chiles 2 tbl. chopped onion 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder Combine cream cheese, 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, green chiles, onion and garlic powder. Stir in creamed chipped beef. Place dip in a baking dish, and top with 1/4 cup cheddar cheese. Bake 20-25 minutes or until dip is bubbly and cheese topping is melted.
