Snacks - Sweet And Spicy Pecans

2 Tbl. unsalted butter
3 cups pecan halves
1/3 cup light brown sugar
1 Tbl. each: ground cumin, pure chilli powder
1 tsp. paprika
2 Tbl. apple cider vinegar
1/4 tsp. salt

Heat oven to 350.

Melt butter in large skillet over medium heat. Add pecans; cook until lightly browned, about 3 minutes. Add brown sugar; cook until lightly carmelized, about 3 minutes. Stir in cumin, chili powder and paprika. Add vinegar; cook until all liquid has evaporated, 1 to 2 minutes. Season with salt.

Spread pecans on baking sheet. Bake until crisp, about 3-5 minutes; cool. Store in airtight container until ready to serve.

Add pecans andwalnuts, toss in mix till nuts are well coated. Spread nuts in a large,shallow baking pan.Bake nuts uncovered, stirring occasionally, for 1 hour or till nuts are golden. Cool comletely. Store in tightly covered container.These nuts are spicy, but look like they might be sweet. Careful when serving

1 cup sugar1/2 cup waternutsvanilla and cinnamon, if desiredPut sugar and water in an iron skillet. Cook for 5 minutes. Add nuts and cook until the sugar begins to whiten. Add vanilla and cinnamon if desired. Stir around and separate nuts. Spread out on a tray. This comes out white and very sugary.
