Snacks - Popcorn - Jell-o Popcorn

2 1/2 quarts popped white popcorn
1 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup sugar
1 (3 ounce) pkg. strawberry gelatin


Place popcorn in a large lightly buttered bowl. Combine syrup and sugar in a medium-size saucepan. Bring to a boil and then boil for one minute. Stir in gelatin until dissolved. Pour over popcorn and mix until popcorn is well coated. Spread out on a large greased cookie sheet. Let cool. Break into small clusters.

2 cup brown sugar - firmly packed 1/2 cup light corn syrup 1/2 lb. margarine 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon baking soda 6 quart popped popcorn In a 2 1/2 quart saucepan combine brown sugar, corn syrup, butter, cream of tartar and salt. Preheat oven to 200 degrees F.Stirring constantly, boil to hard boil stage 260 degrees (about 5 minutes). Remove from heat, stir in baking soda quickly. Pour at once over popcorn in a large roasting pan. Bake at 200 degrees for 1 hour, stirring 2 or 3 times during baking.

10 cups freshly popped popcorn 1 teaspoon paprika 3/4 teaspoon chile powder (or your favorite powder!) 3/4 teaspoon ground cumin 4 tablespoons butter -- melted 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese -- grated salt -- to taste Put popped corn into a large serving bowl. Sprinkle the paprika, chile powder and cumin over the popcorn and toss to mix. Pour the melted butter over the top then sprinkle with the Parmesan cheese. Toss well again. Serve warm. Makes 10 cups.
