Snacks - Fruit - Caramel Apple Recipes By Becky

6 apples
6 sticks
14 oz bag caramels
2 tbsp water


Punch sticks into apples. Unwrap caramels. Place in a saucepan with water, heat over medium heat until melted. Swirl apples in melted caramel, using a spoon to help coat the apples. Place on a waxed paper covered cookie sheet. Allow to sit for 25 minutes for caramel to harden.



Caramel apples

21 oz bag of caramels
3 tbsp water


Punch sticks into apples. Unwrap caramels. Place in a saucepan with water, heat over medium heat until melted. Swirl apples in melted caramel, using a spoon to help coat the apples. Place on a waxed paper covered cookie sheet. Allow to sit for 25 minutes for caramel to harden.

You can roll the apples in crushed cookies, crackers, top with sprinkles or drizzle melted chocolate on them to make them fancier, if desired.

1 1/2 tablespoons butter 1 1/2 cups light brown sugar 6 tablespoons water 8 to 10 Popsicle sticks 8 to 10 apples (McIntoshes work well) Melt the butter in a saucepan. Add the brown sugar and water. Stir until it has a smooth consistency. Gently bring to a boil, then cover and simmer for 3 minutes, until the pan's sides get steamy and the mixture is thin but somewhat sticky. Remove from heat. Pierce the center of each apple with a Popsicle stick, then swirl in the caramel syrup until coated. Place apples on a greased cookie

8 medium size apples 2 cups sugar 2/3 cup light corn syrup 1 cup water 1/2 tsp. cinnamon flavoring red food coloring Grease cookie sheet lightly. Remove stems from washed and polished apples. Insert wooden sticks firmly in stem ends. Stir sugar, syrup and water together in medium size saucepan until it dissolves. Cover pan and bring slowly to aboil. Remove cover and boil rapidly without stirring to 300 degrees on candy thermometer. Remove from heat. Add red food coloring and flavoring. Stir only until evenly distributed. Tip saucepan and dip apples.
