Sauces - Orange Plum Sauce

1/2 cup plum jam
1/2 tsp. grated orange peep
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tbl. teriyaki sauce
2 tbls. orange juice
1 tsp. cornstarch


Blend all ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for a couple of minutes.

10 garlic cloves 1 entire bunch of cilantro 1/2 cup unsalted peanut butter 1/2 cup soy sauce 5 tbl. sugar 1 tbl. serrano rice wine vinegar 2 Tbl. chile oil Pulse garlic and cilantro in food processor until minced. Dump into bowl. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Let sit at room temperature for 1 hour to blend flavors. Note: If you don't have serrano rice wine vinegar, plain rice wine vinegar works fine. The sauce is supposed to go well with chicken.

1/2 c soy sauce 2 c ketchup 1/2 c brown sugar 1 1/2 c pineapple juice 1/3 c sherry 2 t fresh ginger peeled and grated 1 t chopped garlic 1/4 c scallions, minced Fresh ground pepper to taste Place soy sauce, brown sugar, pineapple juice, ginger and garlic in a saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Reduce heat and stir in ketchup, scallions, and sherry. Continue to simmer over low heat for 25 minutes. Stir constantly to avoid scorching. Season with pepper and remove from heat. Cool sauce.
