Salads And Dressings - Vegetable - Sesame Cabbage Salad

1 head cabbage chopped
1 bunch green onions chopped
1/2 cup chopped celery or peppers
3 packages Ramen chicken soup (dry soup pks)
1 bag frozen peas
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup cider vinegar
2 Tablespoon sugar
8 oz chunk almonds, toasted
4 Tablespoons sesame seeds, toasted


Mix cabbage, green onions, and celery. Break up dry Ramen noodles and toss in. Mix dressing of vinegar, oil, and soup mix. Toss dressing and toasted almonds and sesame seeds with salad mix. This yields a lot of salad and is best served same day.

1 medium red onion, thinly sliced 1 head lettuce, torn into bite-sized pieces 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen green peas, uncooked 4 hard-cooked eggs, sliced 1 lb. crisp-fried bacon, crumbled 2 tbs. sugar 3/4 cup mayonnaise 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese Separate onion into rings. Layer lettuce, peas, onion rings, egg slices and 12 oz. bacon in glass bowl. Sprinkle with sugar. Cover with mayonnaise. Top with cheese. Garnish with remaining bacon. Chill, covered overnight. Do not mix. It sort of mixes itself as everyone serves themselves. Yield: 12 servings.

Toss oil with garlic in small baking dish. Cover dish tightly with foil. Bake until garlic is golden and tender, about 45 minutes. Cool. Squeeze garlic from skins. Reserve oil. Transfer roasted garlic to processor. Add honey, vinegar, cider, and mustard and blend well. With processor running slowly add reserved garlic oil. Season with salt and
