Rice - Easy Rice Dish

2 cups rice (not instant)
1 large onion, chopped
3/4 stick butter (or more to taste)
2 (10 1/2 oz.) cans condensed beef consomme
1 cup water
1 clove garlic
sprinkle of oregano


Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease casserole dish. Mix ingredients in casserole dish. Sprinkle with oregano. Cover and bake in oven for one (1) hour.

Serves 8 - 10.
