Poultry - Cranberry Chicken

L can (l6-oz.) whole berry cranberry sauce
1/2 cup bottled Italian dressing
4 pounds chicken parts, rinsed and dried


Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Mix cranberry sauce with dressing.

Pour a third of sauce into bottom of a baking dish.

Lay chicken pieces in sauce in a single layer.

Pour remaining sauce over top, and bake for 50 minutes, turning chicken every l5 minutes.

In 12-inch skillet melt butter until sizzling; add chicken. Cook over medium heat until golden brown (10 to 15 minutes). Remove chicken from skillet. To drippings in same skillet, add cranberries, brown sugar and water.
