Poultry - Chicken - Bourbon Chicken By Renee2489

1 lb. chicken breast, cut into bite-size pieces
4 oz. soy sauce
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp powered ginger
2 tbls. diced minced onion
1/2 cup bourbon (any)
2 tbls. white wine


Mix all the marinade ingredients and pour over chicken in a bowl. Cover and refrigerate for several hours or overnight if possible.

Bake at 325 for 1 hour, (single layer). Baste every 10 minutes. Place chicken in serving dish.

Scrape all pan juices with brown bits into frying pan. Add the 2 tbls white wine. Stir while it is heating. Pour over chicken. Serve with rice or linguine noodles.

1 Chicken cut up or 1 1/2 Lbs boneless chicken breast Glaze: 1 cup Jim Beam Bourbon whiskey 1/2 cup Dark brown sugar 1 cup Ketchup 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1/4 cup White vinegar 1 tbs. Fresh lemon juice 3 Cloves garlic, minced 1/2 tsp. Dry mustard Salt and pepper to taste Combine Bourbon, sugar, ketchup, sauce, lemon juice, garlic, salt and pepper. Chicken can be marinated for a few hours in the sauce, but it is not manditory. If you BBQ the chicken, baste it with the sauce, when it is turned be sure and serve some for dipping.
