Pies - Best Apple Pie

2 Pie Crusts
2 1/2 Pounds Cortland apples -- pared, cored, and sliced
1/3 Cup brown sugar
1/3 Cup sugar
3 Tablespoons cornstarch
1 Teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 Teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 Teaspoon salt
2 Tablespoons margarine


Preheat oven to 425° F.

Mix brown sugar, sugar, cornstarch, cinnaomn, nutmeg, and salt in large bowl. Add apples. Toss gently to mix.

Let stand until syrup forms - about 10 minutes. Put applesand juice into 9" piecrust. Dot with margarine.
