Mexican And Hispanic - Drink - Fresh Fruit Liquados

2 1/2 cups chopped peeled ripe fruit (such as 1 banana plus 10 strawberries, 1 small cantalope, 1/4 pineapple, 2 peaches or 2 kiwis plus 1 banana)
1 1/2 c cold milk
2 c chopped ice
3 TBSP honey


Combine the fruit with the milk, ice and honey in a blender or food processor and puree until smooth. Pour into tall glasses and serve immediately.

Horchata is refreshing sweet rice drink and is wondeful. It is so popular in Mexico that there are store fronts that open just to sell this drink. 2 cups white rice (raw) 4 cups cold water 2 (4 inch) cinnamon sticks (broken into many pieces) 2 cups milk 6 T sugar Soak rice in 3 cups of water for 3 hours. Atole is a hot beverage made with ground corn, or masa. It is prepare with milk or water, sweetened with refined sugar or piloncillo (semi-processed brown sugar sold in cones) and flavored with cinnamon, fruit, almonds or chocolate. It is served with breakfast, dinner or as a snack, and is always served with the traditional King's Cake (Rosca de Reyes).
