Low_fat - Salad - Alfalfa Sprout Salad

1 cup alfalfa sprouts
1 cup carrots, shredded
1 cup chicken, cooked, skinned and diced
1 cup tomatoes, diced
1 cup green peppers, diced
1 cup lettuce, shredded
1/4 cup nonfat mayonnaise
6 pita rounds

Place all ingredients, except pita rounds, in a bowl and toss together. Cut pitas in half and fill.

Serves 6.

Vinaigrette: 1/3 cup packed brown sugar 1/3 cup cider vinegar 1 1/2 T. vegetable oil 1/4 t. salt 1/4 t. freshly ground black pepper Slaw: 2 1/2 cups chopped Pink Lady or other sweet apple 1 pkg. broccoli slaw -- (12 oz.) 1 pkg. dried tart cherries -- (3 oz.) 2 T. sunflower seed kernels To prepare vinaigrette, combine first 5 ingredients in a small bowl, stirring well with a whisk. To prepare slaw, combine apple, broccoli slaw, and dried cherries. Drizzle with vinaigrette, toss well to combine. Sprinkle with sunflower seeds, chill for up to 3 hours. Yield:
