1/4 to 1/2 c sugar, depending on taste
1/2 lemon
water and ice


Put sugar in 16 oz. glass, squeeze lemon juice into glass, drop in the rest of the lemon, add ice and water to fill and shake, shake shake!

1 handful ice 1/2 large lemon 1/4 cup sugar Fill a 16 oz insulated cup about 3/4 full of loose ice pieces. Squeeze the lemon juice into the cup, (add lemon wedges or rind, optional. Fill cup to within 3/4 inch from top with water, and lastly add about 1/4 cup of sugar. Place a larger tapered cup over contents cup, and shake back and forth until sugar is mostly dissolved, (blenders or mixers are cheating!).

4 eggs 1-1/2 cups sugar 3 Tblsp. cornstarch 2-1/2 lemons or 6 Tblsp. lemon juice 2 cups water Beat eggs well. Mix sugar and cornstarch together and add to beaten eggs, beating slowly. Add lemon juice and water. Cook in double boiler or over low flame, stirring constantly until thick or until bubbles appear. Cool. Use in jellyroll or serve as pudding.
