Fruit - Hillbilly Cake

1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. melted butter
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 can (20 ounces) crushed pineapple
1 c. light brown sugar
1 c. chopped walnuts


Preheat oven to 350.

Mix all ingredients except brown sugar and walnuts and pour into a 9x13 baking pan. Top with light brown sugar and chopped walnuts. Bake for 40 minutes.
