Fruit - Date Pecan Balls

1 cup soft butter
1/2 cup sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups flour
1 cup pecans chopped fine
1 cup cut up dates


Cream butter and sugar. Add vanilla and mix. Add flour and mix well. Blend in pecans and dates. Refrigerate for one or two hours.

Preheat oven to 350° F.

Roll into balls and place on cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and roll balls in powdered sugar while still warm.Sprinkle them again with powdered sugar after cookies have cooled.
