Fruit - Crockpot Applesauce

10 lg. cooking apples, peeled, cored & sliced or cut in chunks
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 to 1 c. sugar


Put all ingredients into crockpot, filling about 3/4 full. Cover and cook on low 8 to 10 hours (high 3 to 4 hours).

5 Cups Sliced Apples 1/4 Cup Sugar 1 tsp. Cinnamon A pinch of nutmeg 6 Tbl. Melted Butter or Oleo 1 Cup Flour 1 Cup Sugar 1/2 tsp. Salt 1 Egg Heat oven to 375. Line greased 9 x 13 baking dish with apple slices. Combine 1/4 Cup sugar and spices and sprinkle over apples. Topping: Mix flour, sugar, salt and egg. Toss until crumbly. Spoon over apples. Drizzle with melted butter or oleo. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until topping is golden brown

12-14 c. cooking apples (16 c. chopped) 1 c. apple cider 1/2 c. brown sugar 1 cinnamon stick Peel and chop apples. Combine all ingredients in crockpot and cook on low about 8 hours. Stir and mash to a smooth consistency (you could use a food mill) and cook about 8 more hours on low. (May need to be drained in a sieve to thicken it up.)
