Fruit - Crescent Caramel Apple Puffs

1 (8 oz) can Crescent rolls
1 apple, peeled, cored and cut into 8 wedges
2 tbsp sugar
8 caramels
1/4 c chopped peanuts

1/3 c powdered sugar
1/4 tsp vanilla
2 to 3 tsp milk

Preheat to 375. Separate dough into 8 triangles.

Coat apple wedges with sugar. Place 1 apple wedge, 1 caramel and 1 tsp peanuts on shortest side of each triangle. Fold corners over filling and roll to opposite point, then pinch edges to seal. Place in ungreased muffin cups. Repeat with remaining apple wedges, caramels and triangles.

Bake in preheated oven at 375 for 10 to 15 mintues, or until golden brown.Remove from pan immediately.

Combine ingredients for glaze and drizzle over rolls while warm. Sprinkle with remaining nuts. Serve warm.

12-14 c. cooking apples (16 c. chopped) 1 c. apple cider 1/2 c. brown sugar 1 cinnamon stick Peel and chop apples. Combine all ingredients in crockpot and cook on low about 8 hours. Stir and mash to a smooth consistency (you could use a food mill) and cook about 8 more hours on low. (May need to be drained in a sieve to thicken it up.)

2 cups (2 medium) peeled finely chopped apples 1/3 cup sugar 2 tablespoons all purpose flour 1/3 to 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon Dash nutmeg if desired. 2 (8 ounce) cans refrigerated crescent dinner rolls Glaze: 1/2 cup powdered sugar 2 to 3 teaspoons water Heat oven to 350 degrees. Combine apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg; stir until apples are well coated. Separate crescent dough into 16 triangles. Spoon about 1 rounded tablespoon apple mixture onto center of each triangle. Fold 3 points of dough over filling, overlapping like an envelope. Place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350
