Fruit - Coffee Dessert

12 bananas, sliced lengthwise
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese
1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
4 egg whites
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon very finely ground coffee

Place sliced bananas in buttered ovenproof serving dish. Bake in 350 degree oven 3 to 5 minutes until bananas are slightly softened.

Beat cream cheese until light and fluffy. Add condensed milk and beat until smooth. Spread mixture over bananas.

Beat egg whites with sugar and ground coffee until stiff peaks form. Spoon Coffee meringue over banana mixture and bake in 350 degree oven for 10 minutes until meringue is lightly browned.

Serves 6

For each serving: 1 banana 1/2 tablespoon butter 1/2 tablespoon brown sugar 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon With the banana still in its peel, make an incision lengthwise through the top of the peel and the fruit, leaving the underside of the peel intact. Pull the sides of the banana to open up the split, dot with the butter and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon. Wrap in aluminum foil and bake over hot coals for 10 to 12 minutes, until the fruit is hot and soft.
