Fruit - Apple - Apple Brownies

2 sticks margarine, softened
2 cups sugar
4 medium sized apples, chopped
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Cream margarine and sugar. Add eggs and beat until creamy. Add dry ingredients sifted together. Stir thoroughly. Add apples. Bake in 9X13 pan at 350 for about 40 minutes. Do not overbake.

Note: Brownies may look and feel like they're not done.

4 cups peeled, diced apples 2 cups sugar 1 cup chopped nuts 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg 1 teaspoon cinnamon 2 teaspoons baking soda 3 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 cup cooking oil 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 2 eggs, well beaten Mix together apples, sugar, and nuts in a mixing bowl; let stand for 1 hour, stirring often. Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour a tube pan.Add dry ingredients to apples, mixing well. Add oil, vanilla, and eggs; mix well. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 1 hour. This cake may be served as dessert
