Drinks - Margarita Recipes

Lime wedge
coarse salt
6 oz tequila (3/4 cp)
4 oz frozen limeade concentrate (1/2 cp)
1/3 cup orange liqueur
20 -24 ice cubes (about 3 cps)


Moisten rims of glasses with lime, invert into coarse salt. Chill glasses.

In blender container combine the tequila, limeade concentrate, and liqueur. Cover;and blend smooth. Bith blender running, add ice cubes, one at a time, blending until slushy. Pour into prepared glasses. Serves 8


For something a little different, prepare the glasses as above or use granulated sugar instead of the salt.

Very Berry Margaritas

In blender container combine the tequila, limeade concentrate, and liqueir. Add one 10 oz package frozen strawberries, broken up. Cover and blend till smooth. Add ice as directed above.

Georgeous Grape Margarita:

In blendr container combine the tequila, 1 6oz can frozen grape juice concentrate, and liqueur; cover and blend till smooth. Omit limeade concentrate. add ice as above.

Banana Margarita:

In blender container combine the tequila, limeade concentrate, liqueur, and 2 cps cut-up ripe bananas; cover and blend till smooth. Add ice as above.

Apricotta Margarita

In blender container combine the tequila, limeade concentrate, liqueur, and one 16 oz can apricot halves or peach slices, drained; blend till smooth. Add ice as above.

White Wine Margaritas

2 cp coarsely crushed ice
2 cps chilled dry white wine
3/4 cp triple sec (orange flavored liqueur)
1/4 cp pluss 2 Tblsp fresh lime juice
3 Tblsp superfine sugar

makes 5 1/2 cp

1 can frozen limeade, any size1 can Tequila1 can lite beer3-4 cans iceIn a blender, put 1 can limeade. Using the same can as a measure add the remaining ingredients. Blend until thick.Variations: Substitute frozen peach concentrate or cran-raspberry. 1 jar (26 ounces) mangoes plus juice, reserve 3 Tablespoons of juice (or a little more) 8 ounces (1 cup) gold tequila 1 6-ounce can frozen lime concentrate, thawed 4 ounces (1/2 cup) Triple Sec 2 ounces Grand Marnier (1/4 cup) ice coarse sugar Combine mangoes and juice, tequila, limeade, Triple Sec, and Grand Marnier in a blender.Mix well.
