Desserts - Pudding Mix - Lemon Layered Dessert

1 c. flour
1/2 c. margarine, melted
1/2 c. finely chopped walnuts
1 - 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. Cool Whip, thawed
2 - 3 oz. pkgs. instant lemon pudding
3 c. milk
Additional Cool Whip
Additional finely chopped walnuts

1st layer: Blend flour, melted margarine and chopped nuts. Press into 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes. Cool thoroughly.

2nd layer: Mix together cream cheese, powdered sugar and 1 c. Cool Whip. Spread over cooled first layer.

3rd layer: Combine pudding and milk; mix well. Spread over cream cheese layer.

4th layer: Spread thawed Cool Whip over all; sprinkle with additional chopped nuts. Chill thoroughly before serving.

FOR VARIATIONS other flavors of pudding may be used.

5 egg whites (save yolks) 1 tsp. white vinegar 1 c. sugar 1 (4 serving size) box lemon pudding and pie filling (not instant) 12 oz. Cool Whip, thawed Beat egg whites until partially thick; add vinegar. Add sugar gradually. Beat until stiff. Spread in greased 9x13 pan. Bake at 275° for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Let cool. Make pie filling according to directions, using all 5 egg yolks. Let cool. Spread half of cool whip over cooled meringue. Spread cooled lemon filling over Cool Whip. Top with remaining Cool Whip. Keep refrigerated. NOTE: When you take the meringue out

1 cup flour 1 stick margarine 1/2 cup nuts -- chopped 8 oz cream cheese 1 cup powdered sugar 1 cup cool whip 2 packages instant lemon pudding -- small pkg. 3 cups milk Mix flour, margarine, and the nuts like pie crust and put into 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes and cool. Mix cream cheese, cool whip, and powdered sugar together and spread over cooled crust. Mix the lemon pudding with 3 cups of milk. Let stand for 10 minutes until it becomes thick. spread in pan. Cover top with Cool Whip.
