Desserts - Pommegrante Sorbet

1 1/2 cups water
1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup light corn syrup
3 fresh medium pomegranates
2 Tbls. lemon juice


Im small saucepan combine water, sugar and corn syrup. Stir over med. heat until sugar dissolves; set aside. Cool to room temp.

3 c. fresh raspberries 1 c. Beaujolais 2 T. fresh lemon juice 1/2 c. sugar 1/4 c. heavy or whipping cream Put in a food processor fitted with a steel blade or a blender and process until smooth. Freeze in an ice cream maker, following manufacturer's instructions. Makes 1 quart.

3 cups water 3 cups sugar 3 pounds ripe, juicy plums -- halved and pitted Plum brandy or lemon juice -- optional Combine water and sugar in saucepan. Stir until sugar dissolves. Boil until syrup spins a thread when dropped into cold water (230-234 degrees on a candy thermometer). Puree plums in blender and strain, or peel fruit and put through food mill. Combine fruit pulp with sugar syrup (there should be 4 cups). Pour into ice cube trays and freeze 30-40 min. At serving time pour into stemmed glasses and top with a dash of plum brandy
