Desserts - Fruit Cioccolata
4 medium navel oranges, peeled, sliced and drained (approximately 3 cups)3 bananas, sliced
1 c sliced strawberries, drained
1 c whipping cream, chilled
2 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp orange liqueur
1 c grated semisweet chocolate
Place fruits in bottom of a 9 x 13 baking dish or oven proof individual souffle dishes.
Preheat broiler.
Whip cream with sugar. Add orange liqueur and beat until stiff. Spread this whipped cream mixture over fruit. Sprinkle grated semisweet chocolate over whipped cream mixture, making sure that no whipped cream remains exposed. Chocolate layer will be approximately 1/4 inch thick.
Place dish under broiler, 5 inches from source of heat. Leave oven door open. Watch very carefully to avoid burning. As soon as chocolate is melted and whipped cream shows through, (it will have a marble appearance) remove and serve immediately.
Note: Other fruits may be substituted, but keep amounts equivalent to those listed.
