Desserts - F Rice Crispies Dessert

1(12 oz.) can evaporated milk
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
5 c. miniature marshmallows
6 TBS. butter
1-1/3 c. coconut
1 c. chopped nuts
2 c. crushed rice krispies
1/2 gal. vanilla ice cream

Melt chocolate chips in milk. Bring to boil and cook until thick (approx. 4 min.). Add marshmallows; blend in until melted. Let cool, then chill.

Melt butter in saucepan; add coconut and lightly brown. Add rice krispies and nuts.

In 9x13 pan, put 1 layer (3 c.) rice krispies mixture, then 1/2 of the ice cream, then 1/2 of the chocolate mixture. Repeat ice cream layer and chocolate mixture. Top with remaining rice krispies mixture. Freeze.

15 ounces Rosé Champagne or Blanc de Noir 3 tablespoons confectioners' sugar mint for garnish In a shallow freezer proof container stir together the champagne and confectioners' sugar. Place in freezer and stir mixture every 20 to 30 minutes scraping the sides into the middle so that mixture freezes evenly. Do not allow mixture to freeze solid. The granita should be soft and grainy. Scoop granita into serving glass or dish and garnish with mint sprigs. Serve immediately.
