Desserts - Egg Nog Holiday Dessert

2 c. commercial egg nog
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. diced candied mixed fruit
2 Tbsp. rum or rum flavoring
yellow or white cake

Combine egg nog and cornstarch in medium mixing bowl; mix well. Microwave on Roast for 4 minutes; beat until smooth. Stir in fruit and rum; continue cooking on Roast for 3 to 4 minutes. Spoon over cake.

Makes about 2 1/4 cups.

Tip: Sauce thickens on standing. Microwave on Reheat to warm and soften.

1 pkg. Oreos -- (20 oz) crushed 1/4 cup softened butter 8 oz. cream cheese 1 cup powdered sugar 3 1/2 cups milk 2 small pkgs. vanilla instant pudding 1 tub Cool Whip -- (12oz) Blend together butter, cream cheese, and sugar. Mix together and blend until smooth. Add Cool Whip; fold in. In plastic flower pot, put a layer of crushed cookies, then a layer of filling. Continue alternating layers, ending with cookies. This looks like potting soil. Refrigerate 4 hours before serving. Place artificial flowers in center and serve with a childs shovel. You could add a gummy worm
