Desserts - Crisp - Apple Crisp By Clokken

4 cups apples, peeled and sliced thin
cinnamon, to taste
2 cups flour
1 cup butter or margarine
2 cups sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder


Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Place apples in a 9 x 13-inch pan; sprinkle with cinnamon. In a bowl mix remaining ingredients till moist. Break into pieces over apples. Bake at 350 for about 1 hour or until apples are soft. (You can also use rhubarb, or peaches.)

2 cups flour 1 cup sugar 1 stick (1/2 cup) butter Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.Peel and slice apples to fill a buttered 9x13 pan. Sprinkle cinnamon over apples, then brown sugar, then 1/2 cup of white sugar. Mix the flour, salt and remaining white sugar. Cut in butter. Sprinkle over top. Bake 400 degrees for 30 minutes. (If apples are not tart, sprinkle lemon juice over them before other ingredients.)
