Desserts - Berry Buckle

1/2 c. margarine
1/2 c. sugar
1 well-beaten egg
2 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
4 c. fresh or frozen berries
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon (optional)
1/2 c. oleo


Cream 1/2 cup margarine with 1/2 cup sugar; add egg and mix well. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk.

Spread into greased 9x13 inch pan.Place berries over batter. Combine remaining ngredients until crumbly; sprinkle over berries.

Bake at 350 degrees for about 50 minutes. This recipe is easily adaptable to all kinds of berries and other fruit of your choice, as well.
