Desserts - Apple Pizza Pie Dessert
Crust:2 3/4 c. -3 c. Flour
1 pk. Dry Yeast
3 TB Sugar
1/2 c. Water
1/4 c. Milk
1/4 c. Butter or margarine
1 Egg, beaten
Apple Topping:
2 TB Butter
2 lg. Cooking apples (peeled, cored, sliced)
1/2 c. Sugar
2 TB Flour
1 ts. Cinnamon
Cheese Topping:
4 oz. Cream cheese
2 TB Sugar
1 TB Lemon juice
Streusel Topping:
1/3 c. Flour
1/3 c. Sugar
1/4 c. Butter, softened
In a large bowl, blend 1 1/2 c. flour, yeast, sugar and salt.
Heat water, milk and butter until very warm. Add a beaten egg and the liquid mixture to the dry
ingredients; beat for 3 minutes. By hand, stir in enough flour to make a soft dough. Cover andlet rise for 15 minutes. Pat dough onto a large oiled pizza pan, forming a rim around the edge.
Apple Topping: Melt butter in a skillet, add the apple slices, sugar, flour and cinnamon; simmer for 15 min., then cool.
Cheese Topping: Mix ingredients and set aside.
Spread on the Cheese Topping then the Apple topping over the cream cheese. Sprinkle with Streusel topping (ingredients have been mixed and set aside). Bake @ 375 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Serve warm or cold.
