Crock_pot - Hearty Beef Stew
1 lb beef stew meat1 tbs oil
12 oz small red potatoes, quartered (about 2 cups)
4 medium carrots, sliced
10 oz can cream of mushroom or celery soup
1/2 c beef broth
1 envelope onion soup mix
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1 (9 oz) pkg frozen cut green beans

1 lb stewing beef cut into large chunks 1 cup dried lima beans 1 cup pearl barley 1 large onion, diced into large pieces 2 carrots cut in large dice 2-3 stalks celery cut in large dice 2 tbsp beef flavoured soup base ground black pepper water to cover NB: amounts are approximate and are for a 4 litre crock pot. If yours is bigger or smaller adjust as needed. Place all ingredients in crock pot and cook on high 3 hours then on low all day or over night until beans and barley are tender. Adjust seasoning to taste. Serve

2 pounds lean ground beef 1 cup onion, chopped 1 1/2 cups water 1/2 clove garlic, minced 1/4 cup green pepper, chopped 2 cans (14 1/2 ounce) tomatoes; chopped 1 cup V-8 juice Salt and pepper 1/2 tsp oregano 2 cups macaroni -- uncooked Brown the meat, onion, green pepper, garlic and drain. Combine tomatoes, juice, and the drained meat mixture. Stir in the seasonings. Mix well and place in crockpot and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours. Stir in uncooked macaroni and cook 2 to 3 hours more. Serves 8.
