Crock_pot - Green Beans

5 cans of french-cut green beans, drained
3 cans of tomato sauce
1 pound of bacon, chopped
1 large onion
LOTS of garlic, crushed


Brown bacon and onion together. Drain and put in a large crockpot. Add drained green beans, tomato sauce and garlic, the more the better. Cook on low 4-5 hours.

2 (10 ounce) packages frozen mixed vegetables, partially thawed 1/2 cup finely chopped celery 2 (10 3/4 ounce) cans condensed cream of celery soup 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt 1 packet (about 1/2 ounce) toasted onion soup mix 1/2 cup water 2 Tbls. melted butter or margarine In slow-cooking pot, combine mixed vegetables with celery. In medium bowl, mix soup with seasoned salt, dry dip mix, water and melted butter. Pour over vegetables in pot. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours or until vegetables are tender. Makes 6 servings.

2 lb. sweet potatoes 2 Tblsp. cornstarch 2/3 cup orange juice 2 Tblsp. lemon juice 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/3 cup chopped pecans, toasted Peel and slice potatoes into 1/2-inch slices. Place in slow cooker that has been sprayed with non-stick vegetable spray coating. Dissolve cornstarch in orange and lemon juices. Add remaining ingredients to cornstarch mixture. Pour over sweet potatoes. Cover and cook on low 7 to 9 hours. Makes 8 to 10 servings.
