Crock_pot - Crockpot Applesauce

10 lg. cooking apples, peeled, cored and sliced or cut in chunks
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 to 1 c. sugar


Put all ingredients into crockpot, filling about 3/4 full. Cover and cook on low 8 to 10 hours (high 3 to 4 hours).

10-12 medium apples 1-2 cups cranberry juice Juice of 1/4 to 1/2 lemon 2 tbs sugar (use additional to taste)1/4 to 1/2 cup dried cranberries or "craisins" (sweetened dried cranberries) Wash apples and chop them up without peeling. Squeeze lemon juice over apples as you cut them. Put apples in crockpot with 1 to 2 cups cranberry juice, depending on desired thickness of applesauce. Stir in sugar to taste. Let apples stew on low for 6-8 hours. About an hour or two before serving, stir in cranberries or craisins.

12-14 c. cooking apples (16 c. chopped) 1 c. apple cider 1/2 c. brown sugar 1 cinnamon stick Peel and chop apples. Combine all ingredients in crockpot and cook on low about 8 hours. Stir and mash to a smooth consistency (you could use a food mill) and cook about 8 more hours on low. (May need to be drained in a sieve to thicken it up.)
